Home/School Agreement
The School
We will do our best to:
- Ensure that your son/daughter achieves his/her potential as a valued member of the school community
- Provide a broad and balanced curriculum and meet the individual needs of your son/daughter
- Provide a safe, well-ordered and pleasant working environment for students
- Offer appropriate and varied extra-curricular activities and opportunities for everyone
- Achieve high standards of work and behaviour through supportiung individuals, offering appropriate incentives and rewards, building good relationships and developing a sense of responsibility
- Keep you informed about general school matters through the weekly Tuesday letter
- Contact you as soon as possible if we have concerns about your son/daughter's attendance, punctuality or progress
- Set, mark and monitor homework
- Provide you with information on your son/daughter's progress through an interim report, a full report and a parents' evening each year
- Be open and welcoming at all times and offer opportunities for you to become involved in the life of the school
The Parents/Guardians
I/We will do our best to:
- Ensure that my son/daughter attends school regularly, on time and properly attired and equipped
- Inform the school on the first day of absence if my son/daughter is unable to attend school and request leave of absence in advance of any known unavoidable absence or family holiday
- Support the School's policies and code of conduct
- Support my son/daughter in completing his/her homework and other opportunities for home-learning
- Attend parents' evenings and discussions about my son/daughter's progress
- Let the school know about any concerns or problems that might affect my son/daughter's work or behaviour
The Student
I will try my best to:
- Attend school regularly and on time, and bring all the equipment I need every day
- Wear the school uniform and be tidy in appearance
- Follow the school's code of conduct and behave in a responsible and safe manner when travelling to and from school
- Do all my classwork as well as I can
- Catch up all work missed when absent from lessons
- Be polite and helpful, treating others with respect
- Look after school property and keep the school free from litter
- Let staff know if I experience any problems which are affecting my happiness and progress at school
